A Joke to Laugh or to Cry?
Do you know what the best real estate joke is ? Is this. “The sale price of the property is $ 100,000 dollars. Negotiable”.
I don’t know about you, but every time I come across this “smart” expression, phrase or offer I start laughing. $ 100,000, but negotiable! Pick your noses!
First of all, say that I do not intend to hurt anyone’s feelings by stating that offering a property like this is the best joke around in the real estate sector.
I know someone is going to read this article and feel alluded to, because they are using this form to sell their property. If so, just say that it is wise to rectify and accept that sometimes you do stupid things.
The smart and practical thing on an occasion like this is to assume the mistake and rectify. Making the above clear, there is no doubt that the best joke in the real estate sector is to offer a property by adding the word “negotiable”.
What are we going to negotiate? The price? But if the owner is indicating that he does not know what the price is! This way of presenting the price of a property or property is the best joke in the real estate sector for several reasons, which begin to be evident once we analyze this expression in its full scope.
The Best Joke of the Real Estate Sector. The 3 Readings.
These are several of the readings that moderately intelligent buyers would make , (I reserve what intelligent buyers tend to think), when an ad with this phrase is found.
First reading. It is clear; If the owner sees you looking stupid then it’s $ 100,000; otherwise the price of the property will be negotiable. How much negotiable? That will depend on the degree of stupidity that the owner perceives when he looks at my face
If I seem very, very stupid to you then will the price drop to $ 99,590 ?; But if I am perceived as just a slightly intelligent individual, he may offer me a price of $ 95,000?… and he will feel like he is doing me a favor. I think this property does not interest me.
Second lecture. It is clear: neither the owner nor the real estate agent have the faintest idea of how much their property or property is worth. Pathetic actually. They throw the bait to see what they catch with a price they don’t even believe themselves.
What is this $ 100,000 negotiable dollar? These people are sure pirates. Better not call and thus I avoid problems. Go to know; maybe the property is not theirs.
Third Reading. LOL. Mary, Mary! Do not miss this. Listen to what it says here: ” Beautiful 2-bedroom apartment for sale in San Carlos Salvador, in good condition, price $ 100,000 negotiable.” Ha ha ha This is the best real estate joke I have ever read. Maria Maria, are you listening? They no longer know how to sell an apartment. Who are they kidding?
“There are more readings that buyers do when they read this of ‘negotiable’, which include expressions that are a little acid and that it is not worth transcribing here, in case there is some delicate soul reading this article”.
The Best Joke of the Real Estate Sector. The good and bad.
The good thing about this expression is that, like it or not, it makes your day when you read it, realizing that there are people more stupid than you and they have no qualms about promoting their stupidity to the 4 winds.
The downside of this expression is that it appears too frequently in advertisements on real estate portals and classifieds sites.
A “negotiable price” does not give a good image to the real estate sector, because in more than 50% of the cases it is found in advertisements published by real estate agents and real estate agents. Even the word “negotiable”, indicating the price of a property without being accompanied by a certain figure is a real stupidity.
If you spent 30 minutes visiting a couple of real estate portals or classifieds sites, I am almost certain that you will find an ad with the typical “$ 100,000 negotiable” , at least 1 time. This will give you an idea of how prolific the best real estate joke is in print .
That an owner use this expression of “negotiable”; It shows what kind of item it is, and what you are looking for when selling your property. However, it is embarrassing for a real estate agent to enter this “negotiable” game, because it shows that they have a lot to learn from blue world city islamabad. Or you know if it has lost the North momentarily.
To believe that indicating “$ 100,000 negotiable” or simply that the price is “negotiable”, will bring you more requests for information, is to believe in Santa Claus . These expressions do not convince anyone and do not encourage calling. Well, not really. They incite pirates, buccaneers and corsairs to call in search of an easy victim. “Does this one want to negotiate ,? Well let’s negotiate ”
And how do these types of negotiations end? In which these pirates, who know Latin , end up keeping the property for a price much lower than it is worth.
These owners and real estate agents who believe they are very good at negotiating, usually end up in the hands of negotiators who have obtained a Master in Real Estate Piracy at the University of the South Seas. This is the profile of the buyer that attracts this type of ad.
The Best Joke of the Real Estate Sector. A Real Example.
Do you think I’m exaggerating? I am going to tell you a case that has been the trigger for me to write this article. Case that has happened a little more than 1 week ago.
Place : outskirts of the city of Mérida, Mexico. Property : parcel of land priced at “$ 840,000 negotiable . ” Published for the 1st time on January 3, 2016 by a real estate agent, (my student and published without her telling me, therefore I am not guilty, although I feel as if it were).
Nobody calls during the entire month of January and at the beginning of February, according to my student. A Chiapas developer calls and after negotiating with the owner, he buys the aforementioned plot of land for $ 520,000 dollars. Almost 40% less. A parcel of land that has an official valuation of $ 870,000. Did the owner want to negotiate? It takes negotiation!
Yes, my student got a fee for selling this plot , more like attracting this pirate from the South Seas, but she could have gotten a higher fee, (she stopped earning about $ 24,000 in fees), if she had focused the sale otherwise.
You may be thinking that a low fee is better than no fee at all. Certain. But that reasoning has no place here, because that parcel of land could have sold very well for a minimum of $ 800,000 in less than 4 months and my student would have earned more than $ 40,000 in fees. An amount that is “a lot of money” in Mexico.
On the other hand, think that opportunities in the real estate sector to earn this type of commissions in a single sale are not frequent and may appear only once a year.
This parcel of land was well located, with an excellent market price, had ideal characteristics for development and the opportunity to market it well was lost. Just because someone thought that “$ 840,000 negotiable dollars” was an excellent idea to attract the ideal buyer.
For this reason, using the word “negotiable”, together or by itself, is the best real estate joke you can find.
Good design alone, from a hard sell point of view, is not worth the paper it is printed on.
Let’s get right to the goal: Why do you hand out a business card? Why do they call you or to say: Wow, how beautiful she is!?
Have you seriously considered; that is to say, sitting in your office having a coffee and thinking about the subject, how is this card read when it is delivered and the destination of that card when it is delivered? Have you thought about which people you will give your business card to and in what contexts?
“ NOTE: My student, despite the fact that she got a good fee, learned her lesson and had to assume the loss of + $ 24,000 dollars, an amount that would have solved her income from all this year and launched her real estate business to another level: hire staff, more online budget, etc ”.
Please, leave us a comment on this article. Do you think this is the best joke in the real estate sector of Tajarat properties or do you have another that we could illustrate here? If so, we would like to know and publish it. Thanks.
